In perhaps the most scathing Turkish criticism so far in the conflict, Ankara’s foreign minister Hakan Fidan has accused Israel of operating a policy of ‘theft’ in the occupied Palestinian territories.Addressing the ongoing settlement expansions in occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank, Fidan said: “You invade the land of a people, destroy their homes, send them away and bring in new people and then define it as 'resettlement'.”He added further that such policies should be defined as “theft”.
